Angie’s List is looking for a Customer Service expert to join our Company Connect department. This department is the liaison between Service Providers and Angie’s List via phone calls, faxing and emails. The Specialist also interacts with many other internal departments.

Data Verification Specialist

Angie’s List is searching for a Data Verfication Specialist to join our Data Processing Department. The Data Processing Department has primary responsibility for reviewing and accepting all consumer reviews on local contractors. Over 1/2 million transactions are processed yearly and volume is growing steadily. Information is collected via outbound calling and internet research.

Facilities Manager

Angie’s List is searching for a Facilities Manager. Position will include general management of a campus consisting of eleven buildings. Daily duties include: general building maintenance, assembling work spaces/cubicles for new team members, purchasing office furniture, organizing and maintaining cleanliness of common areas and light janitorial duties. Ideal candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work well with minimum supervision. Familiarity with MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook, is a must. We’re looking for someone who’s organized, energetic and anxious to make a difference.

Copy Editor

The Angie’s List magazine department is looking for an experienced copy editor to join our team. We’re a fun, hard-working group with a passion to make our award-winning monthly magazines the best they can be.

To succeed in this position, you must be an energetic, deadline driven journalist who thrives on the challenges of a fast-paced environment. The copy editor will be responsible for correcting errors in grammar, spelling, usage and style and triple checking the details and facts for local (and possibly some national) content in our magazines. In addition, you will be in charge of building and supervising a small copy editing team.

Applicants must possess strong editing and fact checking skills, have a strong understanding of AP style, and experience in researching, reporting and writing. An undergraduate degree in journalism, knowledge of Macintosh, and at least three years of copy editing and/or fact checking at a magazine or newspaper experience is required. NewsEdit and InCopy skills are preferred.

Electronic Publication Production Assistant

The Angie’s List magazine department is looking for an E-pub Production Assistant to join our team. We’re a fun, hard-working group of creatives with a passion to make our award-winning monthly magazines the best they can be.

We are looking for a deadline-driven, organized individual with a strong work ethic and a meticulous eye for detail. You will work within our online team to produce online publications from InDesign or PDF files. You’ll also prepare and PDF files for conversion to online-magazine format. You will also be responsible for proofing electronic files once they’ve been converted.

Applicants must be competent with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator on a Macintosh platform. At least 1 year experience in a production environment is preferred. Experience making and working with PDFs is a plus. HTML experience is a bonus.

Production Artist

The Angie’s List magazine department is looking for a Production Artist to join our team. We’re a fun, hard-working group of creatives with a passion to make our award-winning monthly magazines the best they can be.

We are looking for a deadline-driven, organized individual with a strong work ethic and a meticulous eye for detail. The Production Artist will work within our production team to layout magazine pages based on existing templates to keep the integrity of the design consistent. You will handle many publications per month so organization and time-management are requisite skills. Some proofing of layouts will be required.

Applicants must be competent with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator on a Macintosh platform. At least 1 year experience in a production environment is preferred. Experience making and working with PDFs is a plus.

Production Assistant

Production Manager

The Angie’s List magazine department is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our team. We’re a fun, hard-working group of creatives with a passion to make our award-winning monthly magazines the best they can be.

We are looking for a deadline-driven, organized individual with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for creating and managing the deadlines and workflow for our multiple monthly publications. You will create production schedules for our flagship Angie’s List publication (which we produce for more than 40 cities), our online editions, our newsletters and assist with determining schedules for launching new publications. A large part of your job will be communicating with editorial, production and ad design to make sure all deadlines are met.

Experience in production management in a publishing environment is a plus. Experience in personnel management is preferred.

Publications Budget Analyst

The Angie’s List magazine department is looking for Publications Budget Analyst to join our team. We’re a fun, hard-working group of creatives with a passion to make our award-winning monthly magazines the best they can be.

We are looking for a number-crunching, organized individual with a strong work ethic and a meticulous eye for detail. You will be responsible for inputting and tracking all invoices and expenses for the department and communicating budget variances to the Director of Publications on a regular basis.

You will also be responsible for analyzing the profitability of each of our monthly magazines. This will require communicating with Advertising Sales as well as our Accounting department on a regular basis and understanding the costs/revenue of the publications as a whole. You will provide suggestions based on your analysis. You will also research and analyze the profitability of possible new print products.

Applicants will be masters of Microsoft Excel and have a degree and relevant experience in budget management in a publishing environment.

Vice President - Marketing
