The Eligibility Representative – Lead Generation is responsible for engaging service companies who are not currently eligible to participate in Angie’s List marketing solutions.  The incumbent leverages tools and the value proposition to convert ineligible companies with the goal of referring these companies to a Senior Solutions Consultant – Lead Generation who will discuss participation on Angie’s List marketing solutions.


  • Research SPID using previous internal notes, company website, and other public information.

  • Identify and prepare value proposition for SPID based on research.

  • Contact SPIDs to discuss AL value proposition, products, and eligibility requirements.  Handle objections as needed. 

  • Determine eligibility plan of action and document in SPID through background check authorization and approval process.

  • Follow up with SPID to discuss progress against eligibility plan.

  • Provide SPID with coaching and encouragement to complete tasks required to become eligible.

  • Set expectations for discussion with Senior Solutions Consultant, ensuring a seamless experience for the SPID.

  • Provides a best in class customer experience to prospective advertising SPIDs.


  • Possession of High School Diploma. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

  • Experience in customer service and sales.

  • Call center experience is a plus.


  • Skills in complex problem solving, judgment, critical thinking and decision making.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively via multiple channels (verbal, written, etc.) with technical and non-technical staff.

  • Ability to deal with rejection, and confidently manage objections.

  • Ability to be versatile and handle re-prioritizations.

  • Ability to multi-task and use several computer programs at once.

  • Ability to maintain self-motivation, work independently, and in team environments.
