Representative - National Programs

Description

The Representative – National Programs is responsible for selling advertising products according to the terms within the assigned National Programs and designated prospect pool.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meets or exceeds monthly individual sales goals
  • Prospecting calls to Service Providers within Angie’s List’s strategic partnership network to achieve specific partnership objectives through advertising solutions
  • Negotiates and sells advertising solutions based on Service Provider needs
  • Keeps clients current on information related to advertising
  • Prepares promotional plans, sales literature, media kits, and sales contracts
  • Potentially travels to key industry meetings and conferences
  • Acts as an ambassador and role model for business
  • Meets or exceeds stated goals in a metric driven environment
  • Adheres to Angie’s List policies, standards, and procedures including those outlined in this document
  • Performs related duties as required or assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE:

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • 2+ years sales experience
  • Successful track record in sales-driven environments

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to travel in your regional market and to corporate/training events periodically throughout the year
  • Knowledge of sales best practices and sales metrics required
  • Excellent, effective, and clear communication skills are required (both written and spoken)
  • Strong skills in problem solving and customer service
  • Ability to handle ongoing rejection and persevere
  • Ability to demonstrate a passion for sales/persuasion and solving problems
  • Ability to be versatile, flexible, tolerate stress, and handle multiple projects, changes, and re-prioritizations
  • Ability to work in a metric driven environment and remain goal oriented
